There is no singer in my lifetime that can sound better live, no miming or lip sync, her real voice.....and it is better LIVE than in a recording studio! How can that be? Because it is the pure, angelic voice of Karen. No singer can emulate what her voice did. Majestic.

As Richard Carpenter stated, “Karen had a timeless voice. She could have sung in the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Her Big Band voice in this epic with Ella is stellar. Karen had a desire to perform in musicals. I often what treasure of music she would have left us in the future had she not tragically died so young.

If I remember correctly, this music video was cutting edge back then, and it wasn't easy or cheap to make. They shot it somehow differently, like half speed or with a special camera or film.

Whether it be a german, french, dutch, English, Irish, Korean, spanish, Greek, scottish, welsh, australian, canadian concert she can sing and conduct concerts in all these different nations. Really incredible and very few can do it. International is the only word to describe her. Oh I left out Korea and china........

"Again, again, again" is a great song by Mina, written by Cristiano Malgioglio in 1978. Aquarius is the opening song in Hair, an anti-Vietnam war musical with a serious message under its unrelenting references to sex and drugs. It tells the story of Claude who has just been drafted and has to decide how he will respond. He does go to Vietnam and is killed. Let the Sunshine is the chorus of the closing number, the Flesh Failures. In most of the productions I’ve seen, the cast slowly separates to reveal Claude’s casket, draped with a flag. It’s a very poignant moment. Traditionally the audience is invited to come up and dance with the cast as Let the Sunshine plays out. In the movie version, Claude’s friend Berger goes to Vietnam in Claude’s place. The composers were not happy with that choice.
